ARCTIC ODYSSEY: JOURNEY TO THE TOP OF THE WORLD is a giant-screen film project that will bring the issue of the impact of climate change on the Arctic, to a worldwide audience. At the same time, the film will celebrate the wonder and beauty of the North as it exists today. Audiences will learn more about the scientific expeditions taking part in the International Polar Year 2007-2008, and the research results these expeditions yield. They’ll also bear witness to Inuit traditions and cultures, and will see Arctic wildlife up-close! Only through the magic of IMAX can viewers appreciate the vast expanse of the Arctic!

I am really excited to hear about this film. I have long dreamed about seeing a big screen film featuring arctic scenery. I hope this film will feature, long, slow, silent panoramic shots of a world most will never have an opportunity to see and may very well cease to exist someday. PLEASE take long, long, long scenic shots so we may look and really see this world. Most footage I have seen cuts away after a few seconds. I want to really see it!
